This poster was presented as original research data on MIBD or Mastocytic Inflammatory Bowel DIsease, a broader spectrum of the newly recognized disorder known as mastocytic enterolitis. This is, as far as we know, the largest series of such patients and highlights several hereto not known or recognized features such as the increase prevalence of the Celiac risk gene patterns HLA DQ2 and DQ8, associations of markers of gut permeabilty (leaky gut) seen in patient with Crohn's disease and Celiac, and the high response rate to gluten free diet.
